Originally billed as “The Sub Pop Triple Tour From Hell”.
Other bands that played on this package tour were Revered Horton Heat and the Supersuckers. I taped all 3 bands this day.
Chaos! That’s my first memory from this show. It was a pretty hostile environment. The German Punks and Ska audience
didn’t mix well and I witnessed a number of fights. The Dwarves’s stage act certainly didn’t help the matter much either.
Bass player HeWhoCannotBeNamed was naked on stage, the singer abused and swore the audience a lot, as can be heard in this tape.
Shortly after this tour, HeWhoCannotBeNamed thought it was funny to circulate a press release, indicating he was stabbed to death.
Once Sub Pop figured out, it was a practical joke, the label dropped them.
This is not my best sounding audience tape but I thought it was worthwhile to include. I still play the tape every so often.
This is one of my last shows I taped on cassette tape before I changed over to DAT. A number of copies were distributed back then
but I doubt I ever released it in cdr format.
