The performance:
Solid performance from darkwave / dance outfit She Wants Revenge.
The band:
These guys moved out of the San Fernando Valley to sunny Florida a few years ago (I don't blame them) but they still like to refer to L.A. as "home" to the
locals. Nice. The band got a major talent upgrade with drummer Jason Payne (on loan from Nitzer Ebb). I don't think their material presents too much of a
challenge for him compared to NEP. Metronome beat without too many fills.
The recording...
The near capacity crowd at "The Glass House" was pretty fucking obnoxious. Late arrivers attempted to push their way to the front of the venue. Sadly, most
were there to see co-headliners "She Wants Revenge" instead of Peter Murphy. It was all I could do to resist the temptation to unload on the guy that wedged
himself in front of me or his bitchy girlfriend that blew her e-cig smoke in my face throughout SWR when I refused to move. So they proceeded to chat loudly
during the first song. When the very short girl tried to get around me on my right and push her way past two girls that had been standing there minding their
own business, she got jumped. Her "friends" reeled her in before she was beaten unconscious. You gotta hand it to these Gen-N (Read: Generation Entitled)
kids. They can be a pretty resourceful bunch. Whether it be pushing there way up to the front at a show or using there own urine as a weapon against cops while
occupying L.A. Needless to say there is some chit-chat on the left channel at times. Because The Glass House is a "dry" venue, the kids get liquored up in the
parking lot beforehand and are falling down, LOUD drunk by the time the show starts (see BRMC: http://www.dimeadozen.org/torrents-details.php?id=323130).
Of note:
The guys stuck around to guest on Bauhaus classic "Dark Entries" performed by Peter and company...

Oh and if you enjoy the stylings of...
Interpol, Joy Division, Psychedelic Furs, The Mission, etc... Whatever.
This show is dedicated to my pal Julian that saved some drunk chick from getting trampled underfoot after she passed out only to be admonished by the
(a)pathetic security goons at the venue. Nice job, guys!
Please support the artist by buying going to one of their shows or buying one of their T-shirts...
