22-Sep 1992 (rehearsal)
TENTET (workshop participants + Peter Brötzmann)

1. untitled improvisation (18:16)

Nils Gerold: cl
Peter Brötzmann: ts
Victor Jäkel: ss, ts
Traugott Thelitz: tb
Jörg Fischer: dr

The solos on ss (during first few minutes) and ts (during last few minutes) are both by Jäkel.
Brötzmann basically gives impulses in certain moments and (successfully) pushes the energy level here and there.

Peter Brötzmann: ts, tarogato, b-cl, cl
Ulrich Gumpert: p
Günter Baby Sommer: dr

This short trio set opened the final concert on the workshop's last day.

note:
The Hochschule für Künste Bremen in the 90s organised a few workshops with jazz musicians of international format. One year, Roscoe Mitchell held a workshop, in 1992 (during the Herbstakademie of the Hochschule?), the trio Brötzmann/Gumpert/Sommer was invited.
The workshop was attended by about 15 musicians, most of which or all where amateurs or music students then (while in subsequent years, a few of them, for instance Gerold, Jäkel and Fischer, are known to have popped - and/or still popping - up here and there on the German jazz/improv pro-scene).
Apart from these three performances, there was more material recorded, featuring ensembles exclusively by the workshop participants. Hey folks, let's consider that material to be of a private nature.
