Fisrt concert by John Cale in Portugal and still today i believe we were witnessing a unique moment. Most of the people in the room and it was a sold out show did not know what to expect from a performance that proved to be emotionally intense. The striped songs sounded so perfect and beautiful that everybody in the room was hipnotised by those feelings. John's powerfull voiced filling the room and our souls took us to heaven and back :-) I still enjoy listening to this recording today. At the time i was not able to use the Sony walkman i use to and so i got myself a recorder that i can't remember really anything about besides it was blue. It is a rough recording but listenable and for me a document of a perfect night.
