disc 1

d1t01. honky tonk
d1t02. what i say
d1t03. sanctuary
d1t04. yesternow
d1t05. bitches brew
d1t06. funky tonk-the theme

----------------------------------------------

Notes:

- frequency response to ~ 16khz, negligible hiss,

- d1t06: 5:28, 5:32 left channel briefly pinned, there are several more instances like this but they have negligible audio impact ; 13:02 thru end of track is on stage announcer introducing band members; track fades out at end.

- d1t02: ~2:54 thru 4:30 someone is singing with radio announcer voiceover announcement

- this is a nice version of "What I Say"

From Plosin's site:

"The Davis Septet opened for Leon Russell and Sea Train for four nights at the Fillmore West, October 15-18 (Thursday-Sunday). Columbia probably recorded these shows, and the Fillmore certainly did. None of the recordings of this show that I have heard includes "Directions," the standard set-opener. In addition to the broadcast version in general circulation (and issued on CDR by So What), there is a 25 minute fragment containing the last half of "Yesternow" (6:18), "Bitches Brew" (9:19), and the first half of "Funky Tonk" (8:58).

- the above mentioned fragment is LMPP223
