Notes:

- sharp drop off at ~ 6khz to 12khz

- recording captures instruments clearly for the most part

- some processing seems to have been done given how frequency drop off varies with instruments

- some instruments are more localized than others in specific channels so I would describe this as a "matrix" where room mics capture some sound to give some hall ambiance but oters are mic'd closely and mixed in

- d1t01: Funk is pretty funky and would appeal to folks that like a somewhat nasty guitar lead

Hello, MFs...

First of all, I have to thank the original seeder of this, Rafa (rnrrafa). I'm not sure which bootleg version this came from, but there were some things that I thought could be cleaned up. My edits are as follows:

The original seed had a 2 second gap at the end of each track. These are all removed.

TRACK 1, FUNK
I edited this so it transitions into 'Ife' smoothly as it should. This timing now matches Losin's timing of 12:49. The original seed had this marked at 12:14 (including the 2 second gap) and it ended abruptly.

TRACKS 2, Ife (originally tracks 2 & 3)
I edited these together as they should be. Also, what was originally "Ife" had a loud "POP!" at the very end of the track in the middle of the end of Liebman's solo. I have removed this in the joining of these two tracks. Losin says that "One version of this set in circulation has an incomplete "Ife" with about a minute missing at 15:58." Well, this seems to have even more missing. I haven't heard any other version of this show, but there is only so much audio present that to get to Losin's timings, there has to be a considerable amount missing than what he mentions (see the timing for 'Tune In 5' and compare it to Losin's timings and also compare where he says there is applause as Miles leaves the stage. It seems there is about 53 seconds missing here, too).

TRACK 3, TURNAROUNDPHRASE (originally the first part of Track 4)
The beginning "Medley" of the original seed really sounded like the end of Ife. But, since the part between the end of Miles's solo on 'Ife' and the end of the vamp out was missing, I faded these into each other which creates a clean transition into 'Turnaroundphrase'. This song now matches Losin's timing. Now please, before you protest the edit between the two tunes, I realize that there me be some objections to this. For me, it sounds better than having Miles's solo fade out on 'Ife' and the next track beginning with the end of 'Ife'. I don't think I am hurting the integrity of the audio by doing this. If you do think I am, then you're probably happy with the original seed and that's fine, too.

TRACK 4, TUNE IN 5 (originally the second part of Track 4)
I edited the spot where 'Tune In 5' begins to make this a separate track. The timing does not match Losin's so I can only think that there is about 53 seconds missing from the bootleg CD that Rafa ripped this from. If you try to edit 'Turnaroundphrase' and 'Tune In 5' to BOTH match Losin's timings, then 'Turnaroundphrase' ends in a weird spot and 'Tune In 5' begins in a weird spot (in the middle of Liebman's solo) so I can only think this as the logical conclusion.
