# Missing from recording

NOTES:
----------
DMB opened for The Samples.

This is not the entire show. Tripping Billies opened the show, but it is not on this recording.

There is a 1.5 second drop out during the crowd noise between Recently and Ants Marching.

The last two tracks are Boyd playing with Sean Kelly from The Samples.

These rare older shows have been collected and converted through a collaborative effort to get them into circulation. Sometimes these shows do not have the best sound quality (and maybe that's why they aren't circulated much to begin with), but people should have access to them.

Thanks to Daniel Norman for the CD source used for this conversion.

UPDATE: Reviewed this source I received from Adam and found there is a dispute as to the validity of this show date and venue per the dmbalmanac and Antsmarching.org's Tour Central, so a lot of research had to be done in addition to listening for clues on the tape. Information on the venue was hard to come by since it closed in 2001 and the H.O.R.D.E. site only pointed to The Samples and From Good Homes who performed the festival on dates surrounding this show date. What was found was a website showing a New Music Seminar the week of July 21, 1993 at various venues in NYC including The Wetlands.  Also, Dave mentions on the 7/21/93 source after WWYS that the band is going up to NYC the next day for some music seminar, festival or something. Lastly, I read up on the Minarets.net Mailing List Archive a post from 10/18/93 asking for a copy of the 6/24/93 AND 7/22/93 Wetland tapes via the Tape Tree.

What's unclear is what happened after Nothing Lasts. Did the taper leave thinking dmb was done, not knowing there would be a 2nd set? Or is the setlist posted originally on Nancies.org incorrect and there was no 2nd set all? Here are various links to information from that week in July 1993 as well as the Minarets.net archive post regarding this show date:

Reconversion notes:
--------------------
Using Soundforge 8, applied a +2db volume to the left channel to even the levels then applied L3 Waves Volume Maximizer to boost volume.
Created new flac files and fingerprints.

Errors/Errors fixed:
----------------------
A cut appears on both channels at 4:13, a skip at 8:10 & a cut at 9:24 (fixed-applied crossfade) of Recently.

Many thanks to Kim L. for the research help on this, especially for listening to the previous night's show, the link to the music seminar in NYC and links to the dmbhalloween.tripod.com info where Sean Kelly mentions playing the intermission with Boyd at the Wetlands on this date.
