This venue was much more of a party than a concert.  But the party was about 3000 people!!  The lights were half on the whole time and a LOT of stuff was going on in this big tent.  The event was related to the PGA golf tour and there seemed to be a large ammount of VIP guests there for one event of many in a long week.  Southwest Airlines sponsored the event and threw free plane tickets into the very drunk crowd.  The doors opened at 3:30 for 8:30 music!  Having NO CLUE this show was this big or this type of VIP event, we ran into a huge line of traffic and valet parking and the like.  We thought this was at the "Scottsdale Tournament Players Club", an innocent enough sounding venue.  Little did we know what we were headed into. A half mile walk after a nice lot attentent allow us to park for free in a seperate lot because " we did A/V work" got us set up and recording TRULY in the first seconds of the bands first notes!  Ah, what tapers get away with; some how we pulled this one off.

Because of the noisy atmosphere, we chose to run the levels pretty full knowing that any post editing on this source was going to increase an already very ambient recording.  So this one is "as-is".  Came out pretty nice!!

Thanks to Mur for the royal treatment and Mark Radner and Todd Evans for hooking this all up in many ways :)
