Back in the 70's and 80's I knew this guy who was a fellow Deadhead and we became loose friends over the years.
Turns out that Rick was a childhood friend with the members of Los Lobos and has been a roadie for the band for many years.
There was a point in the 1990's when he spent a couple weeks crashing at my best friend Mario's place in North Hollywood.
Rick brought 2 shoeboxes full of cassettes of live Los Lobos concerts with him!
I borrowed 1 box and took it home to make cassette copies on my Nakamichi CR-3A of everything in that box while Mario grabbed the other box and did the same thing with an unknown cassette deck.
These were all soundboard masters or first generation copies.
Rick moved away with the tapes before I had the chance to copy the other box full of tapes.
I later borrowed Mario's cassette copies and transferred them to the new CD medium using my brand new Fostex CR-200 stand-alone burner.
This concert was one that I copied to CDR from Mario's cassettes.
This is the first to be re-mastered and now it can be shared for all.
Soundboard-Cassette > Cassette > Fostex CR-200 > EAC > Combined all tracks and cleaned up with Audacity > CD Wav > Flac (Level 8)
