"July 9th named "Soulive Day" by the Mayor of Buffalo, NY!!!
Soulive Day in Buffalo to be capped with a free concert downtown tonight!
On occasion of the free homecoming concert from Buffalo natives and City Honors High School alumni Alan & Neal Evans, co-founders of the internationally acclaimed group Soulive, a proclamation has been made by Buffalo Mayor Byron W. Brown making July 9th, “Soulive Day in the City of Buffalo.” Recognizing the Evans brothers’ ascension to a worldwide sensation over the course of the past decade, the proclamation will take place as Soulive takes the stage in the plaza outside HSBC Tower during the second installment of The Buffalo News Tower Jam, a free concert series at the foot of the tallest building in town. The Buffalo News Tower Jam, presented by Roaming Buffaloes, Labatt USA, Try-It Distributing, Pearl Street Grill & Brewery, The City of Buffalo, and The Good Neighborhood, kicks off at 4:30 p.m. with upstart rockers Free Henry! followed by survival blues spokesmen Jony James Band. Soulive takes the stage at 6:30. Partial proceeds from the Tower Jam support the Buffalo Police Athletic League."
