I had Friday off so willSFC and I traveled to Nashville once again for some good tunes. We played a round of disc golf at Crockett Park, which I won by a stroke.
We got to town and traffic was terrible because of a hockey game. After a short stop at Frugal MacDoogal's liquor warehouse, we drove to the Mercy Lounge and parked right across from the door.
We set up about 25 feet back just right of center because I didn't want to stand in the middle of the floor. I've taped from this spot before and while it's not DFC, it works for me. A couple of tapers set up about 12' from the stage DFC and their recordings should sound really nice.
It was my first time to see Mike solo and the band sounded great. There is a 1:59 "Technical Difficulty Break" after the first two tracks. Not sure what the problem was, but Mike said something about a "60 cycle hum in the monitors" before the last track of the first set. Scott Murawski broke a string between "Emotional Railroad" and "Funky Bitch" but the band kept on playing. The band jammed and Mike broke into some lines from David Essex's "Rock On" before going into "Funky Bitch." The show ran nearly three hours.
After the show Mike was signing at the merch table. Will got a setlist and Mike signed it. "Emotional Railroad" was on the setlist as "Emotional" but not on some setlists I saw online. I apologize for any mistakes in my setlist or tracking.
enjoy!
