This was a great DBT set!
willsfc and I saw Portugal. the Man and I went to the Boom Boom Room (tent) and watched Old Crow Medicine Show's set, working my way through the crowd to snag a FOB/DFC spot near a temporary rail for DBT. After the Old Crow crowd left, I claimed the spot and sat hung there for an hour and 15 minutes for the DBT set.
Keep in mind I normally tape open with a stand. Not much for stealthing but
I learned a great deal this weekend. All things considered, I think the recording came out nicely. Nobody was directly behind us and a guy from Jackson, Miss., was too my left and I told him what I was doing. He and his buddies blocked and Will and Mark from Atlanta blocked left and in front.
This sounds great for what it is. I stood still the entire set to get this one. Very glad I did!
DBT actually played over their allotted time of 1:15. They had about two
minutes after "Zip City" and went right into "Let There Be Rock." Loved Patterson's rapture and beach references.
enjoy!
