Source: Matrix(~50/50) of (1) CA-11s(ORTF) > STC-9000(+30db) > DR-07(LineIn, Vol4) > WAV(24bit/48khz) and (2) Sony ECM-MS957(90) > DR-05(LineIn, Input15) > WAV(24bit/96khz) > Audacity1.3.11b(mid side decoded and panned wide, mixed, dithered, resampled) > WAV(16bit/44.1khz) > CD Wave Editor(tracked) > FLAC8(TLH)
Location: (1) DFC, ~13' back, ~7' high; (2) Stage lip, clamped between and front of the right two monitors, ~5' away from and pointed at Nelson's Boogie amplifier.
Matrix Notes: To achieve matrix, the ECM source was sped up by .013019% in set I and by .010928% in set II. The ECM mic was near Nelson's amp and the bass amp as well, which highlights those qualities in the matrix. Nelson's guitar amp particularly stands out in the mix.
Mid-Side Notes: I had never learned how to properly decode my mid-side recordings until recently. Therefore, all recordings I have made with the Sony ECM-MS957 are in theory due for an upgrade. The ECM source here was panned wide for a stereo effect. The previous sources of shows(those seeded before 2012) that I recorded with that mic would be more suitable for mono playback due to the lack of stereo separation.
Show Notes: Show was originally to take place at the Stoney Badger Tavern in Lynchburg, VA but the venue changed to Awful Arthur's the week before the show.
