OK, I almost didn't upload this because the vocals are very low. We were up near the rail for Mavis Staples and after her set, we moved to within one person of the rail for Mule. I knew this wasn't the best place to tape from but I opted to see the Mule up close with my youngest son and make a rail tape.
The instruments are strong, but I lost Warren's vocals. I'm blaming equipment failure because the vocals sounded fine from my spot. The left channel of the mic in input on the R-09 is failing, something I had failed to recall before taping. I had to copy the right channel to salvage the recording and I believe that's where I lost the vocals.
Otherwise, it was a great Mule set. Short, but hot.
