Restoration:
- corrected DC offset errors
- repaired clicks, pops, crackle and digital glitches
- rebuilt waveform for much of track 10
- spliced Dixie Chicken segments (removed 0.5s overlap)
- split into 2 files at 1st recording break
- restored clipped peaks (up to 3.2 dB recovered)
- lightly decrackled (1.1) and declicked (1.1)
- gain normalized
- reduced broadband noise by 0.5 dB
Notes:
- there is a 2 dB cut in the highs starting at about 2.5 KHz and up (visual)
- the bottom is lacking and suffers from a high rate of compression
COMMENTARY
==========
This is sourced from a compressed stereo soundboard recording of unknown origins available at Archive.org. Track 10, "All That You Dream", was full of digi-glitches of the sort made by DAT tape errors and some other instances here and there which are heard as very loud clicks and pops, and in quantity sound like bacon sputtering in a frying pan. Track 10 was heavily damaged and still has a lot of background crackle for a little less than 2 minutes; (sorry...) Remastering this material was challenging due to the amount of broadband noise on the source and some terrible DAT errors concentrated in "All That You Dream", which, in the source, was not an easy listen.

Big thanks to TomP for his help, instruction and advice in the final mastering stage of this set! More big thanks to plaz for pulling off some extremely difficult and tedious work, especially to Track 10.

Note from the original seeder:
I have no doubt that it was a historical night for Japanese fans. Little Feat had landed in Japan at last. This is a pure soundboard recording for the first stage of their first Japan tour in 1978. At first the tour was scheduled in March, but it was postponed to July due to Lowell's physical condition.
