New show/source. Show wasn't listed in setlist archives as of April 2014.
Sarah and I had worked together on a few conversions back in 2003 after she had received some rare cassettes from a taper. At that time there was still a good chance for digital sources to surface so at a point her boxes of tapes went into storage. We recently came back in contact and I asked if she could double check the stored boxes of tapes for any shows that still haven't circulated. In doing that she found this show/source.
Discussed this tape with Daniel Cheatham of DMBAlmanac who added the date after review.
Only set II - Set I either wasn't taped or is missing. Encore is missing as well (granted they did an encore).
This was a rare Saturday night gig at Trax and Dave mentions he only found out they were playing that day. DMB usually played Trax on Tuesday nights in 1993 but this may have been booked to coincide w/ UVA graduation which took place that weekend. After Halloween Boyd says, "Hey congratulations to all y'all graduating we'll see y'all later"
Dave tells the crowd he'll be playing a show tomorrow (Sunday) with Tim Reynolds at the Live Arts building in Charlottesville, VA. (Previously unknown show)
Really nice sounding ASBD. Fixed a volume difference between L/R channels. Patched a tape flip in between Jimi Thing and Granny. Fade in/out at start & end of recording.
New to circulation April 2014.
