I got my copy from Arden Smucker, a couple months ago (I don' t know who he got it from). This version sounds like it was noise-reduction processed in a DAW somewhere. Although whoever did it managed to preserve the high freqs. quite well, I can hear noise-reduction processing artifacts (eg., in Sugaree). I've had this show on DAT for a long time - my DAT is hissier, but does not have the artifacts. |

11/03/2001 | charlie | I downloaded this show from gdlive.com and besides the previous flaws, noted some background voices (in spanish) during Sing Me Back Home and possibly some of Sugar Magnolia. Has anyone else noticed this?
11/13/2001 | Jeff | Thanks for the info, Mick. I've located the repeats for d2t201 (0:53) and d2t207 (2:20).

The following comment predated the user comments area; now I'm moving it down here: flaw notes courtesy listener A. Pitner: d1t2 sugaree - quick fuzzy zap @ 6:36 d2t6 ramble on rose - cut at end |

02/02/2002 | dale shepherd | one of the worst dehiss jobs. horrible digital artifacts.
08/02/2002 | Iver | In addition to the previously mentioned flaws including the voice on Sing Me Back Home, D2T6 Ramble On Rose cuts out at 3:29 when it should be 6+ minutes. (downloaded from gdlive July '02)
08/07/2002 | Joe Jupille | A new .shn set, lacking the noise reduction artifacts and shortened by Tim Sanabria, has just started circulating (8/2002), though I haven't heard it yet.

07/03/2003 | Matt | Regarding the NR comments: You can find MUCH worse than this- just from 1972 alone. IMO this SHN set is FAR from unlistenable, though the decibals could be raised (it's pretty quiet). Classic Europe '72.
