Allman Brothers Band live on FM radio in 1992, 1993, 1994.
I first shared these recordings in 2018 with a limited number of people. This is the first time I am sharing them via torrent
site. Thanks to 'whotrader' for opening ABB shows floodgates on Yeeshkul.
Lineage:
All of these were recorded from radio shows on 95.5 KLOS - Los Angeles.
1992 and 1993 broadcasts were recorded on a portable Sony boombox with CD, radio and single tape player.
1994 broadcast was recorded on a Realistic combo consisting of radio, double tape player and turntable. I was quite happy
with it at that time.
All broadcasts were recorded on TDK tapes. I have no idea where they are now, so I can't say whether they were normal or high
bias, and all the notes are gone.
I transferred these broadcasts to Maxel 74min CD-R on August 21, 1999, via Technics dirct drive double deck and Philips
CDR-560 mini audio CDR recorder.
In 2018 I transferred CDR to wav via EAC 1.1 in burst mode because secure mode was always getting stuck. > TLH > FLAC level 8
That Philips CDR-560 is a fantastic piece of equipment, I still have it, and works fine (Technics deck too is still alive
somewhere in storage). I have transfered hundreds of my LPs to CDR's with that little recorder, some of which have never been
issued on a CD.
Track 2 consists of 3 songs, I probably didn't have time to press pause button while doing transfer to CD-R.
Whipping Post from Woodstock-2 is absolute killer version.
I saw this incarnation of Allmans a year earlier at Irvine Meadows, CA and they were on fire. Les Paul was in attendance
at that time and he was quite impressed with Warren Haynes. After the show he went on stage and greeted everybody.
