THE BOMB-GOODY REMASTER


INFORMATION CORRECTIONS :

The date was stated as 1976 but I saw this tour and it was 1986 without
any doubt.

Lineage was stated as: "Mixing desk >reel to reel>cassette >wavelab>flac"

This is a great capture.  You can hear (British-accented) chat in a few
spots too clearly for it to be a pure soundboard, but several spots of
pretty heavy mixing suggest this is likely a matrix of an operator's monitor
channel with a significant ratio of (omni?) audience mics.  If you listen
to the crowd between tracks you can indeed pick up individual voices.
A few sections seem to have been overrecorded a bit, but it's still very
nice.  It is full stereo.

The set list provided with the original files was a little mixed up.

REMASTER NOTES :

The tracking hacked this up quite a bit.  Many of the songs had low levels.
There was a somewhat annoying cross fade and a tracking induced gap that had
to be spliced (nothing was missing at that track but the gap should not have
been there).  The pitch was sharp.

Hard limiting : to -.25 dB, 7ms look ahead, 100ms release
Track 01 (old track 1) +4.5 dB
Track 02 (track 2, evened as much as possible a major mixing punchout) +4.25 dB
Track 03 (join tracks 3 and 4, remove crossfade, fade ending audience) +.5 dB
Track 04 (join end of track 4, track 5 and track 6) r+.5 dB
Track 05 (join end of track 6, track 7) +2.5 dB
Track 06 (track 8) +3 dB
Track 07 (join tracks 9 and 10, splice tracking induced gap) l+1.75 dB, r+2.25 dB
Track 08 (track 11) r+.75 dB

Pitch correction -59 cents (Goody supplied offset).

Corrected DC offset.
