Well this is a nice surprise. Just got this by snail mail from the ABB vine at Hittin' The Note. Had to wait a month until my number came up. Worth it.
For a 1971 audience recording it's pretty crisp and clear and almost crankable. There's a few rough patches, in particular the talking during the first
minute but the taper apparently gets into better position pretty quickly. Some chatter and singing along on several tunes does exist but pretty much goes
away after DSW. What's interesting is to hear the progression of the band from earlier in 1971, especially Dickie's playing. And of course this is late era
Duane and you can even hear more something in his playing, if perfection can be improved upon.
