Per Steve Martin " It was on Ampex tape and had horrible stiction, flaking, and oxide coming off on the head. I baked it a couple times and ended up using Q-tips and Everclear as an alcohol base to get it to playback."

First 10 minutes of Dark Star, the 28 second cut at about 22 min and the last 3 minutes of the orginal audience were replaced using the soundboard. The recording was way slow - about 2 seconds per minute as compared to the soundboard which I used as the timing reference.
