This theatre used to be called the Westbury Music Fair, but mega corporate North Fork Bank
bought it out about a year or so ago. I grew up just a few blocks away ... used to ride my bike
there. Back in the 60's this venue was just a tent in a parking lot. As a 10 year old kid, my
friends and I would crawl under the tent openings to see various acts, or just sit on the dirt hill
outside the tent and listen to our hearts delight on any given summer's eve. Despite the corporate
take over, this venue will forever be known in my heart as the Westbury Music Fair.
