03/15/2003 tucker I got this seed in FLAC form, should the ffp.txt be added? I hate re-seeds as much as the next guy, but since this show has a wav md5's and everything matches up I don't see this being a problem. I just wish that seeds would be in FLAC first.
03/16/2003 Shane It might create confusion amongst some people, but I personally would like to see it up there. Especially if it's circulating widely in FLAC. My 2 sheckels.
03/16/2003 Brian I too received this show with a "MKW > .flac" lineage... while it is pointless to have done it, I don't see a need in a re-seed either IMHO
03/16/2003 Nate Fein I also recieved this in FLAC:
Conversion: D8 > Waveterminal 2496 > SF 4.5 > CDWav 1.52 > mkw .97> flac v1.1.0

03/19/2003 Justin I am the taper for this show and this is my transfer. When I encoded the files it was to SHN. Now I did have one guy patching from my rig. He might have converted the show himself and encoded to flac. The other possiblity is it was converted from SHN to flac, I don't know. What I can tell you for certain is this version was converted to SHN and not flac.
03/23/2003 allen text file indicates that its your tape and transfer and that someone went from shn > flac. Im not certain on whether or not the flac frontend will go directly from shorten to flac, but i do believe that only shntool will do that. so the person who seeded the flac did not make it clear enough what they did or why they did it. clip from the flac fileset's text file below:

03/28/2003 Shane I just got this show, and the reason that it's in FLAC format is because someone decided to put it up on BitTorrent ASAP. Most of the Phish shows on BT were FLACed, so this one was too. Maybe to save space/time, maybe some other reason. My .wav md5 is the same as the one on here so I'll post the FLAC fingerprint here for reference.

01/08/2004 hokker I think this is a real nice recording. The low end is real deep(almost too deep) but the highs and mids seem very smooth. I would say this is real nice sounding... thanks Justin!
09/29/2004 starsuck very powerful soloing from Trey towards the end of Gin. sounds beautiful on this pull. thank you taper Justin
