04/15/2003 | Col. Forbin | This is a great audience recording from Hampton coliseum. Haven't been able to a/b this to the Schoeps source in circulation, but this one cooks just fine. Maybe not worth the upgrade, but if you don't have this show, great source.
04/15/2003 | Col. Forbin | But the disc tracking is pretty retarded. Use your own common sense when burning (i.e. don't split up a jam between two discs if it can be helped)
04/15/2003 | Roadrunner | I think SHNtool and CD Wave can be some help to you, check it out: http://www.etree.org/
04/17/2003 | Daniel Pennington | The sound on this is very closely comparable to the Schoeps (Dankseed) source. I prefer the Schoeps source for several reasons. There are some noticable level changes in the beginning of d1t1 on this one (although nothing serious), the tracking of the Schoeps source is better, the Schoeps SHNs are seekable, and the txt file on this one is useless. That being said, these comments are really just intended for people picking between the two, either is worth getting. The show itself is amazing. |
