NOTES: by this point the ABB were very open to taping … I only had a old Atlas stand probably 6 foot , I can’t remember , but it was sturdy with the iron base and small enough not to make anyone complain either …I also use a one point stereo mid slide condenser mic for ease , it’s not super high end but with DAT it makes it better than cassette … since my tapes are getting old I’m experiencing some glitches , this one is probably due to a “used tape” , DAT was expensive and there was a guy who sold one pass tapes from data usage for CHEAP..they’re great at the time but I’ve noticed a few flakes … this show was good as as most of this period of ABB, yes, they “ditched” johnny neal , keyboardist at the end of 1990 , and I think for the better , but the ABB’s lineup with Haynes and Woody is my favorite , yes I do like the original too … a solid show … it features the old bass player on Southbound from the Jokers , one of Dickey’s old bands … Ramblin Man is kinda rare , it’s in the slot where blue sky usually is , but it’s a great tune … I will also say I didn’t see the ABB after Betts left the band …nobody plays like him and his sound is so signature to the band’s primary sound and directive … Duane and Greg would be a yin, but Betts would have been the yang … OK , as far as I know my tape has never been traded or circulated , I do believe there are other recordings of this show according to e-tree … this recording is nothing superior but it’s listenable … the ABB one of the greatest band’s of all time !
