06/21/2003 | Robert | This shn has sbe's in its first circulation.
06/22/2003 | j howe | The SBE's are at the end of each set[d1t07 & d3t09], not really a problem.
06/23/2003 | Chedda Bob | How many times do we have to rehash this discussion? Any and all SBEs are bad. They are easily avoided, and it's the responsibility of the seeder to remove them BEFORE releasing their seed. Why is that such a tall order? They may not be a major issue right now, but they will be in the future. Do it right the first time, please!
06/23/2003 | notsameRobertasabove | sound quality on this source is A+ to my ears, simply amazing recording. disc 3 is alot of fun.
06/23/2003 | Deadhead | It?s pointless to nitpick over these end of disc SBEs. It?s ridiculous to assume any future audio format will have the same 2352 byte sector size used by redbook cdda.
06/23/2003 | jb | It's not exactly pointless to nitpick about SBEs at the end of a disc if the disc break is in the middle of a set. It is pointless to nitpick about SBEs at the end of sets. I mean, if you're stitching the show together to burn on a single [long media that is replacing CDs], just insert 2 seconds of silence between the end of the set and the beginning of the next. In non-continuous anyway.

I have gotten SHNs before that were extracted from audio, and STILL matched the md5s of the pre-audio-CD SHNs.(in database) The new SHNs were therefore the *SAME* as the source SHNs. Such a lucky occurrence can only happen if the tracks are the right size, and are on the CD in a standard manner (ie. like redbook, etc) In the future, someone might not have the data, and want to extract the audio without errors introduced by SBEs. (if only 2 files have the SBE's, is it really that hard to fix??) |

06/24/2003 | jasonATrift | I'll remember to cut a 1sec track after the fadeout for all my future seeds so that the SBE's are not on the last track of the sets... sorry folks, I didn't realize that this would/could potentially be such a big issue!
06/24/2003 | Ryan Burns | I just take the whole set, cut it into tracks in CDWav, and cut off a bit of crowd noise (it can be like 1 sec.) at the end of the set. Then i do the fades in Soundforge and everything is cut on secor boundaries. |
