Notes:
I don't know any specifics on the source of this recording, other then I couldn't detect any evidence of analog generations such as presence of hiss or cuts in recording where cassettes were flipped etc. It sounds like the mics were directional and either mounted in a hat or handheld, as you can hear the music drift slightly from one channel to another at different points in the show, presumably as the taper moved around.
Sound Forge used to splice the two audio discs back together into one complete WAV file. Original split was right after "Let's Say Goodnight" and the audio discs had sufficient overlap to allow a seamless splice.
Sound Forge used to remove digital static and dropouts at 1:08 and 1:36 of "I Walk Alone" and 0:17 of "Marie Marie" - I had to remove brief sections of the recording to eliminate these flaws. I attempted to maintain the flow or continuity of the music while splicing the recording back together, however a brief portion of the vocals is missing as a result of the flaw removal.
If anyone has any information on the source of this recording or can provide a cleaner copy (preferably a DAT clone or clean CDR copy from the master), please contact me at dgale@loslobos.org
