03/09/2002 | dan | I made a small error in the .txt file. Althea doesn't go into Lost Sailor. Aside from that, this show sounds amazing. Very full rich bass and clean highs.

01/12/2004 | MurphMonster | Does anyone else have a 37 second audience track before the encore? It makes Disc 3 six tracks. Also, Disc 2 on my copy only has 3 tracks, but all the songs ... Shakedown-Bertha are together as are He's Gone-Drums? What's up w/ that? I loathe anomalies.

MurphMonster, as our anonymous commenter has noted, you have a different seed, as could be duly noted by the md5s. With that in mind, do you or anyone else have a clean source w/o all the digi-errors? The sound on this great show is excellent, but it is full of errors; I have noted the following: d1t01 - ~3:40 (several before), 4:56.59, 6:46, distortion @ 5:38 d1t02 - crackle @ ~2:35 d1t04 - ~3:40 d1t05 - ~0:40?, 4:02, 4:32, d1t06 - 7:35 d1t07 - skip? @ 1:51 d1t10 - ~4:40-5:20 d2t01 - ~4:00-4:20 d2t02 - ~6:30? d2t03 - ~0:20-0:25, 4:33, 4:50? d2t04 - ~1:30-1:45 d2t05 - ~0:22-25, ~4:50-5:15 d2t06 - fuzz @ ~3:00, crackle @ ~4:30 d3t03 - 7:30 d3t04 - ~5:30, crackle @ ~8:30 d3t05 - ~1:50, 2:20 |

I don't know why people think this source sounds good. I think it sounds bad. Someone did a poor job of adding Noise Reduction to this recording. They didn't did a proper noise sample. Listen to the sound, mostly between tunes. You can hear the phase issues. plus, look at this show on a frequency analyzer. It's just NOT right!! I just did a fresh transfer from a dat and even patched the tape flips with a pretty good audience recording. It's currntly on it's way to the server. cm |

Charlie - I always thought something was 'off' with that recording. I would very much like to hear your version. I assume you will upping it to tol ? ? ? Many Thanks for ALL your hard work - it is very much appreciated by those of us who listen with our brains and not so much with our ears ! |
