Notes

This is version 4.

All disc changes can reassembled seamlessly on longer media.

The multiple sources made for a tremendous amount of options
in a multichannel presentation.  I had quite a bit of fun
fooling around with different mixes.  In the end a few friends,
3 bottles of Napanook 1999 and a case of Newcastle we came to
a somewhat consensus that version 4 was the optimum mix.  A
total of 9 different mixes were made of Smooth Rider.

Source 1 and 5 were the obvious choices for the front and
center channels due to their center recording locations.

Source 1 was left completely as is.  No processing, EQing
or adjustments to the volume was preformed.

Source 5 was digitally EQed to bring out more of the vocals.
The house mix was stereo so the user can consider turning the
center channel down (it is already -5db) or off to fully hear
the stereo mix.  However, if you position yourself front and
center the sound does come at you from left, right and center
so I prefer to leave the center channel on but somewhat lower
in the mix.

I use 3 different sources for the rear channels.  One recording
from the far right stacks and one from the far left stacks.  I
then mixed in a small amount (approx 30%) of a recording taken
from a rear location to add bit more time and space to the rear
channel mix.

As usual, the Schoeps source seemed to capture the low end
frequencies the best and was the natural choice for the sub/LFE.

If you play this DTS-Audio-CD and hear static it is b/c you
didn\'t really read the text file, did you?  Read below!!

More On DTS

Today\'s audio standards are moving towards multi-channel sound,
like DTS and Dolby Digital.  While the Audio-CD standard (Red
Book) hasn\'t changed to accommodate these new sound formats, it
is still possible to go around the specification and to put a 5.1
surround recording on a regular Audio-CD.  To play a DTS-Audio-CD
you must connect your DVD/CD player via a digital cable (optical
or coaxial) to your DTS Dolby-Digital receiver. It is not 100%
sure that your receiver will recognize a DTS-Audio CD, so the
first time you\'re trying to playback a DTS-Audio-CD you must do
a test to determine if it can. Begin with the volume very low,
start the disc and raise the volume gradually. NEVER listen to
a DTS-Audio-CD through the analog audio outputs of your CD/DVD
player.

Burning Instructions
Burn them the absolute same way as you would burn any
normal Audio-CD from FLAC files.
