10/19/2002 | Mark Goldey | Sector boundary errors at the end of d1:t7 and d2:t7
10/20/2002 | John D'Auria | fixed md5s for SBE's are now up thanks Mark.
10/20/2002 | Deadhead | A sector boundary error on the last track of a disc is meaningless - you won't hear a glitch.
10/20/2002 | Mark Goldey | The first SBE on this show is in the middle of Set II between two songs that seque, even though it falls at the end of disc 1 on this seed. Someday, when we can put the entire set together on a single disc, the SBE will be there in the middle of the disc. It's better practice to weed SBE's out, even if they seem like they don't matter.
04/02/2003 | Chris L. | there is no evidence that sbe's will be of any relevance for future media formats. its all just speculation, and i would be pretty surprised if the arcane idiosyncratic sector structure concocted back when i was using my TRS80 (with 4K RAM) in 6th grade is perpetuated on future digital media formats. from my understanding of DVD audio, this is not an issue at all.
04/02/2003 | Mark Goldey | Discussions of SBE's belong elsewhere, but a brief explanation is important b/c there are SBE's here. There is a "hole" in the music at the end of the last track on the first disc. It doesn't matter what the format of the future is or where that track falls in the format of today. There's still a "hole" in the music data and even if you bake bread with these SHNs or bang them into a shovel, the hole will still be there unless you repair it first. |
