Edie Brickell and New Bohemians
Club Dada (inside)
Dallas, Texas
March 11, 1991
During the period between the New Bohemians first two albums, the band would play Dallas area clubs, usually Club Dada, and usually under a pseudonym. In this case "Pogo Stick." These shows were recorded by several people (many on DAT) on the same recording chain. The source was usually a soundboard feed mixed with mics set up by the tapers (in most cases, on stage). Sort of a live matrix. They sound fantastic.
Another Dimer has been uploading some of these shows from cassettes a couple generations down. This one is from a DAT master and is a big improvement in quality.
A great, long show. Lots of improvs and some unreleased songs (two from the old days). Some great covers. Sorry, as you can see there are some holes in the setlist. Feel free to help out.
