Show Notes:
Decided to hit the road to Albany feeling it would be a special night since
Albany was home to the one and only Brian Alger who the tour had been dedicated to.
I know Ben doesn't like to dedicate songs, so for a whole tour dedication, it is special.
They had his family front row center for the show. On the way to the show my brother was
like, Bin you know they are going to play Cruel World. I was like, hope so. Man, I'm glad
they did. I got the chills for like thirty seconds straight which had never happened to me for
that long. Just a great version with the entire band instead of just the original 4 like at
Central Park 9-6-06. Whipping Boy was performed with just Ben, Oliver and Juan. Great Show.
Stuck around after the show to talk with the band. Talked with Jason about the 'There Will Be
A Light' artwork. Said he chose the tambourine because of it being used in all religions as an
instruement. Also discussed our mutual afection for Jameson irish Whiskey. He asked me what I
thought of the setlists since he's the one writing them down. I was just like Philly on Saturday
will be my 40th BHIC show, put Oppression in the set. So when I was talking to Ben I was like
Philly will be my 40th show, could you open with The Three of Us. So, yeah I'm hoping they
remember. Maybe get two treats. Told Juan how I miss FFYM, he was Like "YOu miss it?, I miss it too"
Oliver and Leon chatted it up the longest and found out that Leon played with Bob Marley when he
was like 15.
