Jackson Browne & David Lindley - For EveryFan - a Compilation - 4 Discs A real labor of love (hundreds of hours of effort) from a collector with over 350 Jackson Browne concerts. Jackson Browne & David Lindley, mostly acoustic, no band, an endless string of pearls. Compilation of the best available live recordings of Jackson and David together. Sound quality=excellent, sources=FM, sbd, vinyl lp's and (digital) audience recordings. Sound: A+/A, but a few tracks are probably A-/B+ due to the quality of the original source. This 4 CD-set features some of the the best performances of live songs by Jackson and David together. There are 61 different songs on this compilation from shows ranging from the Bryn Mawr show in 1973 to shows from their 1997 tour. The compiler did an excellent job of putting the songs in a meaningful sequence as Jackson would do in a real concert. A good deal of Jackson and David's interaction with the audience as well as each other is included. The sound of each track is excellent to superb with the expected variance for the many different venues and recording techniques from the various sources. It is truly a "dream" compilation with many rare recordings and interesting performances. Jackson never sounds better than when he and David are together on stage with no one else. It's really a pleasure to listen to this gem. Comments from the creator: "It took me more than 3 months to put together For Everyfan, and that's not including the year and a half it took me to round up all those shows. The Jackson Browne Songbook was much easier to do since I didn't try to make it like a concert. With For Everyfan I tried to make each disc like a short concert and the first 3 discs like a maxi concert (the 4th disc was added because I had all this great stuff left over). Each disc started with a strong track and I tried to balance the 'popular' songs on each of the 3 discs. Within each disc I tried to sequence the songs in an order that Jackson would use for those songs. Then, there were story lines involving Jackson and David and Jackson and the audience that went from disc to disc. It was really time consuming."
