It’s one of the most incredible star-studded lineups of country artists for The Venetian headliner Tim McGraw’s 2-hour CBS special “Tim McGraw’s Superstar Summer Night” airing Sunday night and recorded at MGM Grand Garden Arena on April 8. Naturally, his wife, the glamorous Faith Hill, joins in the fun, as do guests hometown hero Ne-Yo and rappers Nelly and Pitbull for the nonstop concert to benefit the Academy of Country Music’s Lifting Lives. Tim, a 15-time ACM Awards winner, shares the stage in the special with Jason Aldean (“1994”), Luke Bryan (“Crash My Party”), John Fogerty, Dierks Bentley, Brantley Gilbert, The Band Perry (“Done”), Florida Georgia Line with Nelly (“Cruise”) and Keith Urban (“Long Hot Summer”). Taylor, Keith and Tim perform “Highway Don’t Care” together. “Tim McGraw’s Superstar Summer Night” marks the official end of his mini-residency at The Venetian and the start of his summer tour. However, I am reliably told that negotiations continue for a return to The Venetian this fall for more residency shows. Tim also performs songs from his latest 12th studio album, “Two Lanes of Freedom” — (“Highway Don’t Care”) is one of them, and duets with Faith on “Piece of My Heart.” -Tim’s duet with Ne-Yo is a highlight.
