This is a transfer from a relatively common yet rarely mentioned bootleg LP called "Part Of The Problem Or Part Of The Solution". It offers no clear details as to where or when it was recorded, but speculation from fans leads many to believe this is sourced from the demo reel John Sinclair sent to Elektra in hopes of landing a deal or the Danny Fields live recordings. Based on my own research, I'm fairly confident this tape is sourced from one of the 3 reel to reels in the John Sinclair collection at the University Of Michigan, possibly May 26th, 1968 (based off the setlist). The recording of Ice Pick Slim that circulates from this date could almost match this one sonically (assuming a shoddy "remaster" was done at some point). Supposedly, Looking At You is also on this tape, but is missing from the LP as the record ends with the sound of the reel rewinding shortly into I Want You Right Now. Unfortunately, there seems to be no way to accurately date this recording as it is, but it's definitely a killer.
