Work Song
Per René Aagaard, this dates from 1966 and is from a rehearsal session at PBBB keyboardist Mark Naftalin' house, although both of those statements are less than certain. An incomplete recording of Work Song exists.

East-West, Live Version #1 12:37 East-West, Live Version #2 15:55 East-West, Live Version #3 28:06
The tune "East-West" from the second Paul Butterfield Blues Band album of the same name made music history. It is arguably the first extended rock solo, a fusing of blues-rock with Eastern scales and tone. Here is the root of psychedelic acid rock. Now, thanks to Mark Naftalin (the original Butterfield keyboardist), listeners have three live recordings of "East-West" recorded in 1966-1967 that capture the origin and development of this classic tune. The first example (some 12 minutes) was taped prior to the edited studio version; the second (16 minutes) and third (28 minutes) were recorded after the album cut. There is some great music (and music history) here.
