ADOLF SATAN was: Larry Lifeless - vocals Josh Martin - guitars Sean Linehan - bass Nate Linehan - drums Seth Putnam was the original drummer, for about a year, and Nick Camilleri was the bass player until shortly before this recording was made. This was recorded with BOSS BR-1180 digital recording studio, and a couple of inexpensive mics ($40 at Daddy's). The instrumental track was recorded at the band's rehearsal space in Allston, MA in late 2005. The vocals were recorded at my house in Lowell a few weeks later. An additional guitar overdub was done at my house in early 2006 (before March). I lined the BOSS recorder with RCA cable into Audigy Soundblaster SE, and put it into the Magix Music On CD and DVD program, with which I made track markings. Wav converted to flac with TLH, and TLH used to check/repair SBE's and to create the torrent. This was never officially released, though twenty copies were made and given away at a show in March of 2006. The songs do appear on their myspace site in a rather different mix. I figured I'd do everything fresh for this transfer. The levels on some of the elements seem too high at times to me, but pulling it back doesn't do it as much justice - gotta be loud. I also fucked up the drums on track 03 for the first 19 seconds - not terrible, but you'll notice the change. This is not a final mix, but if it looks like this will ever see an official release, I'll make sure this is removed. If you don't know, this band was Josh from Anal Cunt's vision of a doom band, and they were getting somewhat noticed by the time they ceased. They were so pumped when this demo was done, but personal differences halted any further work.
