From grner1: This set seems to be a rarity - much less circulated than the Airplane, Big Brother or QMS sets from this show.
It's a decent sounding audience recording from my 2nd gen. reel. I think that this is the best copy that you will find of this, though I would love to be proven wrong.
I got this recording from David Cooks (early tape archivist for John Cipollina), who attended the show and noted the following details during the performance. It's easy to hear the guitars and lead vocalists as listed, but the background vocals are not as easy to differentiate. So don't expect Janis or Grace to be very obvious in the mix. The jams are fairly tight despite being rather extended. |
