Having searched the internet thoroughly, it seems that this concert has never been shared online before; so there will be a great many Who fans around the world that have never even heard the concert, and i hope that is about to change. It seems that the Vinyl bootleg is now very, very rare. I was lucky to buy it at "Beanos" in Croydon, South London (Europe's biggest secondhand record store) back in the 1980s; sadly Croydon Borough Council banned the sale of bootleg recordings shortly thereafter.

This is the 8th show of the 1976 US Tour, an amazing performance captured on an audience recording of fairly typical quality.

I have included full sized photographs of the album taken at home and a couple of posters that i found on the internet that may be useful if you want to create artwork for your CD.

The Vinyl restoration process has been a labour of love that has come out better than i could ever have expected (baring in mind that the record is now 32 years old, and was played almost into the ground during my youth); i successfully removed all of the crackle, clicks and noise that i could without effecting the sound quality of the music and audience. [I]please don't be put off by the noise and crackle on the Abbott and Costello sketch which was tagged onto the beginning of the concert by the bootleggers: that was a very bad crackling source to begin with; the concert is relatively free of noise and crackle.[/I]

This is a complete concert musically; the only cut is the audience noise between Dreaming From The Waist and Magic Bus, plus all four sides of the vinyl bootleg had fade outs (only effecting audience noise). The bootleg had filler tracks at the ends of sides 2 and 4, neither of which is included here because the songs have since been officially released (Glow Girl and Girl's Eyes).

I hope you all enjoy this seldom-heard concert; and i will leave you with a thought from my wife....

I said to her: "I don't think i'm gonna be able to get rid of the crackle completely."
She said: "That doesn't matter, it adds to the atmosphere."
