Notes:
JEMS master recording. This show captures Elton on the 2nd night of a 2 night stand at the Seattle Center Coliseum. Elton is touring in support of the Captain Fantastic And The Brown Dirt Cowboy album for this show. Rock Of The Westies wouldn't be released until about a week after this show took place but we do get an early version of Island Girl and Dan Dare. The first set is the slower oldies set while the second set is more uptempo rockers and newer material. We learn from Elton that Bennie And The Jets is a good song to grope your neighbors to. The crowd starts to get really rowdy during the 2nd set throwing eggs at Ray Cooper and Roger Pope. Elton seems amused by the whole affair. This continues later into the set along with people in the crowd throwing water up on the stage soaking Elton and the security guards. Out of both nights this is the better show all around. The recording and performance are fantastic and provide a good snapshot of what made Elton so popular in the 70's.
