J-Card Comment: | Great Show... I've seen Led Zep at the Omni in 77, Plant in the 80's at the Omni, Page n Plant in the 90's, again at the Omni, but this show sticks out as almost as good as the 77 Omni show. Maybe it was the Fox Vibe, or it was his energy ... Percy has a way of reinventing himself and not resting on his accomplishments. Three different lead singers on songs and Mr Plant sang back up harmony really shows the fun he is having. I've never seen him smile so much and laugh at bandmates . The Man is having fun in this part of life and career, and it shows .On another note, we stayed at the Georgian Terrance across the street from the Fox. Wonder how many people remember Alex Cooleys "Electric Ballroom " , it was a ballroom in the Georgian Terrance ". I saw Badfinger there in 1974 . Anyhow , Getting back to the show, AAA class musicians. Patty's voice seems to compliment him. The recording turned out good . Good seats on the floor . Not too much chatting on tape. A whole lot of dancing in seats and the usual holla ,"yeah" . |
