Notes: Thanks go to Lordsnooty for getting the great seats & getting this great recording. He recorded 5 nights & thiis one is extra special because it includes David Gilmour on Comfortably numb & Nick Mason comes out @ the end for Outside The Wall. The original files from LS were 2 long files (set 1 & set 2) & they were given @ 48khz/48bit untouched masters...

On the original files there was 5 spots that something happened to the recording device that made a digital peak noise for a very short time (4x's 1/10 sec & 1x 1/5 sec) on one or both sides. When it was a single side I fixed it by muting the noise & copy/pasting the other side to make it mono/parallel for a fraction of a second. These are unnoticeable. The 5th one had it on both sides of the stereo trac for 1/2 the duration so where it was on one side I did the same treatment as before but then I had to delete out the part where both channels were affected. Once again you can not notice where this is as it just happened to happen during a silent part...

There were quite a few people clapping around the location & there were litterally thousands of single hand claps that were a bit distracting. I attenuated them & it cleaned up really good. As far as tones go I shifted the harmonic balance a bit & used compression on the kickdrum only to reduce the boominess of the recording. I sent some samples to LS & he gave me the ok to do what I please with these...

The sound is clean & many x's listening to this you will forget that this is an unauthorised recording. There are a few x's the audience gets loud but the excitement of David coming out on CN well I wouldn't expect anything less. The only other thing I did was to raise the level of the trumpet. This does bring on a bit of hiss but is only during the 20+/- seconds of the trumpet intro. I split it up maybe a little unconventionally but it flows fine. Other than that I left the dynamics pretty much as they were recorded - this is best listened to loud!

I hope you enjopy it as much as I do & once again thanks to Lordsnooty for your generosity in letting me share this one with everyone like this. This recording of this show is a treasure & will be a keepsake for many years to come!

Finally as a common courtesy if you want to change or alter this recording (for distribution) please have respect for the taper & ask his permission. I'd recommend any alterations be done from his originals anyway to get the best quality results...
