J-Card Comment:

Great sound, great show, reasonable crowd (except for the seat poachers that got the boot
during Aja). This was the first night of the three-night Boston stand, the Aja night. As Donald
references after the conclusion of Aja, the Boston Globe recently published an interview with
Donald and Walter:
http://www.boston.com/ae/music/articles/2009/07/19/theres_no_scamming_steely_dan_fans/
The reporter asked why only three shows in Boston instead of the 4+ in other cities, and why was
Boston deprived of The Royal Scam. (Night 2 is Gaucho, and night 3 a requests show). Apparently Walter replied that Aja is short enough that they could do both Aja and The Royal Scam at the first show. Sure enough, they performed both albums in their entirety!

There's no way to fit this show onto 2 discs, other than splitting up The Royal Scam. I did not edit the tracks for cd, so it's up to you. I recommend 3 discs, one for each album, then the encores.
