J-Card Comment:

Description: Here's a special treat from the Blackout archives. I haven't seen this show around much, and it's not listed on the Helden site. The quality of this recording is really nice, I think it was recorded just a bit hot, otherwise it would be a real gem. The show starts with A Small Plot Of Land, as this was a late December tour "experiment" where a few shows started with this song instead of The Motel. Basically Bowie switched their places in the setlist so it makes for an interesting listen. There is one cut in the show, as We Prick You is only 1/2 due, probably, to a tape flip. This is a "flu" show, one where Bowie mentions having the flu during the band introductions, but I don't think it affects the performance. In fact it gives Teenage Wildlife a nice twist, as the tempo is a bit slower going into the song making it a unique listen.
