The dusty box has seen some action in the last couple of weeks. This one was found in there and after gving it a listen I couldn't understand why it warranted the title "All The Crackles In Action". (This is from the same source recording.) A member here at MWP sent me a sample track from that title and the reason became obvious! This one suffers much less and although it is quieter, I think you'll find it much easier to listen to.

I got this one in trade from "The Little Pink Bunny" and the lineage is claimed as MD > MD1 > CD-R. I would normally expect two lots of ATRAC compression to show up as mpeg under analysis but not in this case. Maybe an analogue transfer adds sufficient noise? I don't know but let your ears decide if this is an improvement or not.

The discs had two tracks and three tracks respectively. The extracted files were imported into Audacity to fade between these tracks and at the start and end of each disc. The seperate parts were then stitched together. A few loud noises were compressed to make them less severe and to allow about a 6db boost in volume without clipping. These files were then split into tracks using CD Wave Editor.
