J-Card Comment: | Nice sounding show from the 1990 tour. This one is very low generation, probably twice or three off master. No hiss, nice and clear. I gave the recording a little bass boost and I think it's quite an improvement. The show itself is pretty inspired, Bowie gave some good gigs in June of 1990 on his jaunt across the Midwest. Adrian Belew tears it up on Station To Station, Stay, Pretty Pink Rose, and Jean Genie. There is a tiny cut in Let's Dance (the solo ending), hardly noticeable (tape flip?). Bowie talks about infomercials before Ziggy Stardust, chastising people (like himself!) watching car cleaning ads. First set ends with Let's Dance, and there was an intermission. Sound and Vision starts the second set and if you are burning to CD I recommend dividing it there. |
