Description: It is with a mixture of elation and trepidation I upload this recording. Why you ask? Because I am a purist, and unfortunately this recording is a "bit" flawed. This means static in a couple of songs that despite my best efforts I could not eliminate. Keep in mind this is NOT diginoise in the traditional sense, just some minor annoying scratching, most notably in Never Let Me Down and Big Brother. So why must I upload this still, being a purist? Well, because the recording, to my ears, is just that good. And I want to share it with everyone. It is sad that this is one recording where Blackout has misplaced his original tapes, therefore they cannot be run through for a "new treatment". I am really hoping the taper of this show emerges some day with a new copy of the masters, because this is just one of my favorite shows. It has that great ambience, echo of the old Wembley, everything you want in an audience recording. So download it, you will not be disappointed. For those who were there, share the memories. I understand it was like a torrential downpour so they could not play Time the first night and the rains kept up throughout.
From the Blackout archives. Enjoy! I will also post the second night (June 20th) if there is interest, it's in similar quality as I think the recordings are from the same taper. AND - thank you to the taper for making such a nice recording. Highly recommended.
