J-Card Comment:

The Who brought the '89 tour to the Cleveland Stadium, which had opened in 1931, hosting both baseball and football. A big, old, concrete place from another era, parts of this stadium now lay at the bottom of lake Erie forming an artificial reef. This show featured a fairly standard set for the Who. Pete does play a little lead guitar during 'Face the Face'. When he did this number he mostly performed as a singer, although on this tour he usually had an electric guitar around his neck, and at few of the shows he got off a few licks during the middle of the song. The version of Summertime Blues in the encore took the show up a notch.
