DVD 3491; lineage: 16 bit version from the collection of chopper7. Recorded by Keith Weiner. Lineage: DAT > cass (2) > Optimus SCT-57 playback deck > Adobe Audition 1.5 (recording at 24/96, track splitting, limiting) > TLH (SBE fix, flac 8)

J-Card Comment:

This is a different recorder than the one previously posted here by theklopeks. It was recorded much closer than his was and sounds a lot clearer and better. In fact this tape sounded so good that no EQ or other processing was used. This is a straight rip from the cassette just as it was heard on playback. Only some digital fades were done. I believe it is a 2nd gen tape because there are fades where the tape sides start and end, but they aren't always in the right spots for the tapes I have (Clap cuts off, then there is a short section on side 2, a fade, then the song resumes). There is an unrepairable dropout in Shock To The System where a small spot was erased on the tape. The intro to the drum duet is missing. Other than that there are no serious flaws.
