Taper's Notes:
I had read that on this tour David Byrne was encouraging audience members to record the show, both audio and video. And when this was
announced over the PA system about 15 minutes prior to the show, I was very excited. I had my monopod, my new Sony Cyber-shot
camera, front row loge seat, and was good to go. Here's what the announcement said:

"Heads up...heads up out there...This is David Byrne. During our show, we welcome picture taking, video recording, audio recording, and
somehow trying to remember what kind of experience you had here without using a gadget. We ask that you be respectful of your fellow
audience members and and don't take pictures with your iPad while blocking their view. We encourage you...this is true...we encourage you
to enjoy our show. We're very proud of this show and we hope you like it too. And we hope you don't spend all the time watching the show
with a gadget in front of your face. Thank you. Have a really great time."

A taper's dream if I ever did see one...?

I had also read that venues were not honoring David's wishes. So when an usher came up to me during the 4th song and told me no video cameras
were allowed, it was no surprise. My argument - "but David said it was allowed" - fell on deaf ears. Damn it! Of course I did not stop my audio
recording, which came out sounding pretty nice. Very quiet neighbors in what was a pretty rowdy crowd - Saturday night in Port Chester is
wild and crazy, apparently.

Regardless of the above, this is a wonderful show. YouTube clips cannot do it justice. You need to be there to experience the full effect, which is
very visual and theatrical - no suprise coming from the mind of David Byrne. Oh, and get your eardrums ready for the sound of amplified brass.
If you like horns (which I do), this is the show for you!
